Information!

Hey everyone,
I just got off the phone with Aunt Sandra. I thought I would give you all an update. She answered the phone and sounded really good. I was actually surprised by how well she sounded. After talking with her for about 5 minutes her voice changed and you could tell that she was in a lot of pain. She said that she was going to the Dr. today to see what he could do for the pain. She also said to tell everyone that she loved us. She mentioned to also tell Chy and her family that too. (So Chy, if you are reading this...you too!) Well, I have tons of homework to do that I am procrastinating.

I love you all!

Say this isn't so!

So I thought the hot pink, metalic Valentine tree was bad, but now we have a metalic green St. Patrick's day tree. I really think I have died and gone to metalic tree hell. These are my roommates and she loves them. I think they lack taste. I have expressed (in a nice way) my distaste for them, but she just doesn't care. I don't really think any of us like these. Rumor has it that these trees will resurface for Easter! AAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!! Will this hell ever end?!

NY Cousin night 2006!

Friday night we had a blast at Chy's house. Brooke, Chy, and I stayed up until 4 am. We watched a movie, ate cupcakes, (Don't worry mom I didn't eat a whole one!) and had "Fun with Gum!" We also had a "Call Family Fiesta!" It was a blast, but all of the other Call cousins were missed...especially my own siblings. We made sugar cookies with the kids before dinner and once they were in bed...the festivities began! If you ever come visit me, I will take you to my favorite cupcake place...Crumbs! They are to die for!

Two of the cutest nieces in the world!

Here are Ros' little darlings. The first one looks like these two have some serious Koosh diease! Kate's hair looks so dark now that it is short. She is getting so tall! STOP her from growing all ready!

Funny Kids

So, while I am e-mailing and stuff the girls were in the other room watching Disney...Little Einsteins, and I head Kate fussing at Clair. Then I heard Kate crying. I guess she was fussing at Clair and so Clair took this play cleaning brush and whapped Kate upside the head with it! I held the laughter in and told them both they needed to be nice to each other. I told Clair hitting is NOT nice. Kate admitted to fussing at Clair and I told them to hug and say sorry...they have been playing nice ever since! Those kids. While we were waiting for Kate to finish pre-school I gave Clair two little candies. When I looked back she still had one in her hand. I asked her if she was going to eat it and she said, "No, it's sissy's!" I told her it was very nice of her to save one for Kate and so I gave her another one for her to eat. I thought that was so sweet...then she come home and whapps her upside the head with this big old hard plastic brush! Oh the humor of it all!

Mom's Thoughts and Memories

Hello, Call Fam! It has been a while since I posted anything on the blog. I have been so busy…I had a play at work on Monday and it was very time-consuming. It was a hit but, frankly, I am glad it is over! The oldsters wear me out some days! I loved Rosalind’s post about family and spending time together. Those were my sentiments exactly! I do so wish you guys were closer. I love Kate’s new hairdo and I think she looks so mature with the new cut. She is such a doll…I am glad that little Clair still looks itty bitty, though. I hate for them to grow up so fast! Of course Brooklyn likes to walk around with the cell phone tucked in between her ear and her shoulder like she is 16! It is too funny! They are all three so adorable! I can’t wait to find out what grandbaby # 4 is…I hope it is boy, Ros! Kate will be “very frustrated” if it isn’t!” Too funny! Dad’s birthday was a bit uneventful….he wouldn’t let me buy him a cake. I did make him a batch of homemade almond joys…he loved those, but I wish everyone could’ve been here for his b-day. He is just as cute as he was 32 years ago when I helped him celebrate his 23nd birthday! Crazy boy! Hope you all have a great day……..I love you! Mimi

Reaction to Kate's New Cut!

You have all seen the post of Kate's new haircut...well Sunday was the first time folks at church saw it. Several people didn't even recognize her. A kid in primary wanted to know if I dyed her hair. Kate was loving the attention! It was cute! She still loves it and wants to wear if down all the time. She's too darling!

HELLO FAMILY!

Hello All!
I just wanted to say hi! Not much new is going on here in good old Acworth, GA! However, I just wanted to let you all know that I love you very much. I wish so much we were closer and could spend more time together. I think about you guys ALL the time. Sometimes during the day (or night) I will think about how I wish I could be meeting mom for lunch, or having play dates with Brooklyn and Britni, or doing some shopping with Emily, watching HGTV with Dad, or going to a sporting event with Joel. I also wish on Sunday we were all together having dinner! If I got to do those things as much as I think about them, we'd be spending plenty of time together! I love you all and I am so glad we are an eternal family!

A post from the Long Lost Sister!

Hello from sick in Georgia!
We have all been sick at some point and time over the last week or so. However, we managed to fit in a trip to Aiken and a trip to see Jessica's play. Kate is always so proud that her Aunt is on stage. It was a really cute play. Clair started to get really bad sick the next day. She was caughing so bad. I was worried. However, once we got her home and got a humidifier going, she got better. She still has a little congestion and a little coughing, but not like it was! Kate seems to get it for a day and then get over it. Maybe she is building up resistance to all the crude now that she is in pre-school. Then of course I got it...full on! Coughing while PG is not too fun. To top that off, I also have another urinary track infection. I finally went to the doc today, because it was just starting to be more than I could bare! So, now I have an antibiotic and hopefully it will knock it out! It is NO fun! Anyway, I guess I have done enough whining! I love and miss you all!

What do football and Valentine's Day have in common?

Here is one of the many Brooklyn Valentine's pictures that we took on the Judson football field in January. Ros found these shirts at Children's Place. The plan was to take all three girls to the field and take their pictures together for V-day. Well, the flu struck the Bright side of the family and thus ended our brillant plan. While I was still in Texas, Britni and I took Brooklyn to the field, with Joel. Brit got so many fabulous shots. This is just one of many. Brooklyn was hilarious. She walked across the field on her knees and loved the football. She actually cried when we tried to take it away.

Who is the kid with Clair?

Ros sent pictures of her girls. Kate looks like a totally different person. Her hair is so dark. I almost cried because she is so grown-up! Boy times fly. Ros, your girls are darling.

Blizzard of 2006

The first picture is of our door step. The second one is of a car parked outside our door and the last one is of me. A guy walking by saw me taking pictures and asked me if I wanted him to take my picture. I told him I was from Texas and we didn't have this much snow. He said he was from Boston and this was nothing!

Yes, today...Sunday NYC received 26.9 inches of snow...which made it literally Hell to get to church. I kept thinking they would just cancel church, but my roommates said that it wouldn't be any trouble getting to church with public transportation...WRONG! We got on a subway, only to get stuck on the tracks for about 30 minutes. We then got out a stop before the church because the train wasn't going any further. It was 72nd street and we needed to be on 66th street. We tried taking a bus, but it had jack-knifed, and stuck. Instead we ended up hailing a taxi (they were few and far between). I know that some of you are thinking...it's only 7 blocks, just walk. Well, the snow was about up to our knees and in some places higher. We decided just to spend the cash and get there fast, since we were already late. The cab took us about 5 blocks and then it was stuck, so we just got out. Needless to say it is more snow than NYC has gotten since the 1940's. CRAZINESS! It is a day like today when I think..."Why didn't I go to ASU?" I could guarentee I wouldn't be treking through 26.9 inches of snow there! Yuk!

Nets Winning Streak ends at the Hands of the SPURS!

Many of you know that on Friday night I went to support my hometown team...THE SPURS! About 11 of us, took the bus into New Jersey. It was a great game with the Spurs and the Nets. Needless to say I came home happy...WE WON!!! It was not a pretty game, but at least in the end it was a win.

There is a picture of my roommate Kristen, her friend Rob, and I at the Spurs game. Notice I am sporting my Spurs shirt...inspite of being in New Jersey! I was a true fan...through and through. Also there is a picture of my roommate Kristen and Lindsey and me. Also, the pictures of the game are not super close, but you can see the basic idea. It was tons of fun. I really enjoyed it.

Toothy Smiler!

Here is darling Brooklyn. She has the exact same smile in the one just to the left and the one at the bottom. It is a little crooked and very toothy! I love it. The one where she is laughing is so her dad! I bet she is going to be a
joke-ster just like him. The middle one is of Joel and Brit's "triplets with a runt". (Don Call family bloggers who are reading this...Joel and Brit are watching 5 kids this week. They have a 5th grader, a 2nd grader, a 4 year old, and twin one year olds. With Brooklyn that makes 3 one year olds and six kids....PURE MADDNESS!) I am sure Brooklyn is having a ball with all those kids and new toys. It's too bad that the Kimball kids have been sick. Let's just hope Brooklyn doesn't get it!

I have a little helper

ok..so I have a little helper that is tired of me being on here so she just went ahead and pushed the send button somehow. But as I was saying Thanks Emily for posting the pics. All is well with us. Brooklyn is growing so much. She is so funnly. She loves Clay and Leah the most I think. They are a little more laid back. Well check your emails of new pics. I am trying to send pics of her before Friday to Regis and Kelly so help me decide they dont have to be the ones I recently sent. Well I better go. I will try and post again soon. We have a big day tomorrow and I have to get kids in the bed. Later
Brit

Sorry So long to post!

I am taking advantage of being at the Kimball's and their cable internet. I hope all is well with you all. I do check the blog...I just don't always post because I am in the old age of dial up at my house. All is going well here. I hope you have enjoyed the pics of Brooklyn. Ros I am glad that I am not the only one that cannot post pictures. Thanks Emily again for doing

In honor of the Great George!

I was at the Met today...subbing for that all boy's school and we went into the American Wing. This painting is the largest in the museum. It is of George Washington on the Delaware. It was amazing. Happy Soon to be Birthday George Washington! (By the way, I took this picture with my camera phone...so it is not the best and it is not the whole thing...just the best part!)

Brooklyn's B-day Pictures

This is a picture of the birthday girl pigging out on her birthday cake. Well actually from what I hear she only ate some of the frosting and then she pushed it away and was done. She knows the good stuff when she tastes it. This is a picture of her...half dressed on her first birthday. Britni and Joel said that she was a little overwhelmed with all the people and she was quite relieved when it was just her, mom, dad, mimi, papa, grammy, and pops. Who can blame the kid with all those doting grandparents to herself!

Brooklyn's Bithday Cakes

Britni you did a great job with Brooklyn's cakes...and you said you couldn't do it! They turned out darling. The pink pig was just for Brooklyn and she is a girl after my own heart...loving just the frosting!

Mom's message

Hello Call Bloggers! Just wanted to let you all know that Brooklyn’s birthday party was a ton o’ fun but, there were way too many KIDDOS! I think Brooklyn was a bit overwhelmed…poor baby didn’t even get to open her own presents…the other kids were tearing into them. (The Kimball twins are pretty aggressive!) I think Brooklyn was quite relieved when everyone left and just her parents and both sets of doting grandparents were there! She is so much fun…laughs all of the time. Her latest trick is to hug the sculpture of two little girls we have sitting on the coffee table in the Family Room. Papa told her it was Aunt Rosalind and Emily and she kisses it and hugs it and says…”ahhhh!” when she sees it. I love hearing Kate and Clair stories….I love the one about Miss Connie and the “location, location, location” thing. I’ve told everyone at work and they think Kate is brilliant! Clair is really getting to be quite the phone talker with her Mimi. She is a little chatter box. They were so much fun this past Christmas! And yes, Clair actually saved our hides on the nativity…she was the ONLY one who took it seriously. Is she precious, or what, in those pictures? Hope all is well with everyone…Aunt Emily….I agree that the Governor of Virginia has a “runaway eyebrow!” Did you all see him offer the rebuttal after the State of the Union address? I couldn’t concentrate on what he was saying (not that it was anything but hogwash, anyway!) because of that eyebrow! If you can Folks….try and check it out. I love you all! Mom
