Where in the World is Emily?

Hey...I thought I would give you all an update on my travels. The last two weeks have made me a "road-warrior!" I started out in El Paso, where I spent two days. I then spent three days in South Carolina. From there I got to spend a couple of days with Ros, the girls, and that new darling little boy. He is precious and oh so sweet. I left Atlanta to spend a few days in the Twin Cities. Minnesota was nice. It never got over 80 degrees. It was a nice change from the humidity and heat. I spent two days there. I got to see the Mall of America and totally plan to return there and spend a few hours or even days in that thing. It is HUGE! I should have taken a picture to blog, but I was pretty sure that my co-workers would have thought I was a freak. :) I am now back in SA and life is busy as always. I will be heading to Florida next week and then on to South Carolina again. I was hoping to get to Hawaii, but it looks like someone else is getting that adventure...for now!

Baby Bowen has arrived

Ros had her baby today. He was 8 pounds something and 19 inches long. To quote Kate, "He looks just like me, only without eyebrows and eyelashes." Both Kate and Clair were so excited about it. I asked Kate if she got to "kootch" him and she said, "No Aunt Emily I did not cook him." I about wreaked my car when she said that. I will be in Atlanta on THursday evening. I am very excited to be the first person to see that little guy...I hear that dad is a little sad that I will be first. You got to love my company for sending me to Atlanta at this time.

He waited!

Stephen got home today and my in-laws left. It looks like Bowen decided to wait for his daddy. Poor Stephen was on pins and needles the whole time. He kept his suitcase with him everywhere he went and he called or texted me about 10 times a day! So, it is starting to look like this baby might make it to the 22nd after all. Of course, now that I have accepted that, he will come early! :) Anyway, we got several more things done for the nursery. Stephens mom helped me make the lamp shade...it turned out VERY cute! She also drew the plane on the canvas' for Kate to paint. Kate had a great time and was so fun to watch. She took her job as "resident" artist very seriously! It turned out really well! I will take a picture and post it...or get Em to post it. It really turned out well. If we would have bought something like it at Pottery Barn Kids or Company Store Kids it would have cost us well over $100, we only spent$20 on supplies and Kate really feels like she has contributed something extra special to the nursery! I am very happy with the results! All that is left is for her to sign the picture and for Stephen to draw on the tail numbers...if we still decided to do that. Anyway, just wanted to give you all an update. Love you mucho mucho!

I'm a Slacker...but with good reason

I am sorry that it has been such a long time since I blogged. I have been really busy...although that is not a good enough excuse. Just to tell you how busy I have been...I have been in 6 states (some states more than once) in the last 2 1/2 weeks. I am not complaining, but it just is evidence of my lack of time to blog. I was lucky this week to get to stay put, in SA. Next week I will be in TN, FL, El Paso and then the following week I will be in VA (almost all week), Texas, and Minnesota. Needless to say I am racking up the frequent flyer miles. I wanted to blog a picture of my new jeep, but I haven't even had time to take a picture of it. I promise to get that done one of these days.

Calm Before the Storm

I'm feeling great and have been for the past three days. I am pretty sure this means little man Bowen might come any time now! The next full moon is Aug 9th! If he doesn't come this week, he will have to wait until Stephen comes back from his bushiness trip to G'ville. We are all none too happy about that situation...but GE does pay the bills! What can you do? I am glad that my in-laws will be able to come and stay with the girls and I.
We had a wonderful time with Brit and Brooklyn. Wish they could have stayed longer. Kate was upset that Britni wasn't coming back and Clair kept saying, "Brooklyn is gone!" So, I know the girls had fun. We wish Joel could have come too, but we know he was bring home the bacon! Em, when will you be in GA...you are just teasing us with your trips to SC and AL and your two hour delays in Atlanta! Mom, how is your last week going? Dad, the girls are so excited for you to come and take them to the park again! Love and miss you all!

The Girls Are Back in Town!

Hello all...well late Saturday night we met Stephen's parents and picked up the girls. It was WONDERFUL to see them. I could hardly take my eyes of them! It is good to have them back. The break was very nice, but I missed the snugles, hugs, kisses, and funny things they say. It will be hard for them to adjust to having big mama who can't (or doesn't feel like) doing much of anything. They spent a lot of time outside, and both have tan lines from all the time they spent out in the pool! This Big Mama just can't be outside in the heat! I can hardly stand to walk to the car and wait for the AC to cool it down! What can I say...I'm a big whimp! Anyway, it is good to have them home! Hope you are all well. Mom, just two more weeks! Hang in there!
