The Elvis Turkey

So Kate bought home a "Family Project" to disguise an outline of a turkey (that was minus the feathers) so it won't become turkey dinner. Kate called several people to get ideas on what to disguise her turkey as. Finally Aunt Emily gave her an idea she really liked...Turkey ELVIS!

Here is the story we wrote to go with it...

One day there was a turkey that was very afraid of being dinner at Thanksgiving. So, he disguised himself as Elvis. When he walked into town people said, “It’s ELVIS! AHHHHH!” Then they fainted. People arranged a big concert. The day came. Girls were screaming. People were even waiting outside the stadium to hear a bit of the Elvis concert. Then when he came out, he bent his lips and said, “Thank you! Thank you very much!” He began to sing. “Love me GOBBLE! Love me GOBBLE!” The crowd let out a huge gasp. A girl said, “He’s not Elvis! He’s a turkey!” The crowd booed. So the turkey knew this was his last chance. If he didn’t get the crowd back, he’d be thanksgiving dinner for sure! So he started singing again, “I ain’t nothin’ but a turkey, gobblin’ all the time! I ain’t nothin’ but a turkey, gobblin’n all the time. You ain’t never had chicken for Thanksgiving so you ain’t no friend of mine!” Then the crowd started cheering and rocking along. Elvis the Turkey was saved.

Elvis has left the building!
The End!

The story was fabulous and Elvis turned out amazing! It was even better than I imagined it. Well done Kate!
