Comings and Goings of part of the Call Family this Spring
Addie has won the heart of all of us. I am so glad to have her around. She follows me around the house all day and sleeps on the couch or the floor under my feet as I watch tv or work. I can't imagine life without her. She is such a great little buddy. I've actually gotten her to wear a bow on occasion and today she's worn it all day long. I'll make her girlie after all.
Joel and the kids ran the SA BYU Alumni 5K. I walk/ran it, but they ran the WHOLE way. They are holding up how many minutes they ran it in. Jack took 4th place in boys ages 1-12 and Brooklyn took 4th in the girls 1-12. It's pretty amazing because the girls who got 1st-3rd were all 12 and the boys were 9+. Jack and Brooklyn represented the young ones well!
We celebrated Britni's birthday and Jack sported a head lamp the whole time. It was hilarious and I felt like it was blog worthy stuff.
I kept Perri one morning and she slept so peacefully. I couldn't resist this tender picture.
On Memorial Day we took a trip to the Fort Sam National Cemetery. It was such a good experience. Britni took some amazing pictures and I thought I would share them. I love the one with the reflection in Brooklyn's glasses. That one should be in a magazine.
Jack was so good at picking up the flags that had fallen.
We even found Joel's bestfriend from high school, who passed away a few years ago. It's always a great feeling when you go to a National Cemetery, but it's a little hard when it's someone you know.
After we had a BBQ at mom and dad's. I love this picture of Perri and Addie...both wanting desperately to be outside with the big kids. They stood like this for a long time.

Easter Egg Hunting
We had a little Easter Egg hunt in my backyard. I didn't think to get my real camera out to take pictures, but I did use my phone camera. They aren't the greatest pictures, but you get the picture.
Jack and Brooklyn loved searching for all the fun places the eggs of candy were hidden. Those hidding them, hid them high and low.

Addie loved running after the kids, but she also just loved being with Dad. He is her buddy and they sure enjoy each others' company.

Addie also loved being with the kids as they searched for all the eggs. She ran and chased after them the whole time. She loves being outside.

Happy Birthday to my favorite Sister!
It's Rosalind's birthday! I'm so glad that you are my sister. Hope you have a great birthday. I don't have any pictures of you on this computer and I'm too lazy to get them from another one. I sure love you though. You are always there for me and you have never minded me tagging along with you...or at least you pretended not to. I appreciate all you do for me and hope this, your 25th year of life is the best ever! :-)

New Addition to the family
Adelina (Addie) joined my family on Thursday. She is a 2.2 pound, 10 week old Maltese puppy. She is all fluff and very sweet. She is constantly with me and at my feet. I'd love her even more if she slept through the night or at least more than 2.5 hours at a time.
This is how I usually find Addie sleeping during the day. Brooklyn says that it isn't lady like, but it sure is funny.

Happy Birthday Dad!
I guess it's better late than never. Dad had his birthday last week and he celebrated with Joel, Britni, Brooklyn, Jack, Perri, and mom. Sadly I was out of town and missed the festivities. When Jack found out how old Papa was turning, he said, "Wow Papa why aren't you retired?" I guess that's his way of saying nicely that Papa is getting old...then again aren't we all. Needless to say I am thankful that Papa is part of our family. He keeps us all on our toes and is loved by the grandkids and us all!
Here's a little something that Clair and Brooklyn would love...seeing as they both have crushes on these little furry guys:
Hope your birthday was a great one!

Red Mountain Spa
I am lucky enough to have gotten to spend 4 days in St. George at the Red Mountain Spa with my good friend Ann. It was a great time and exactly what I needed. We hiked, walked, did yoga, swam, did Pilates, Chi ball, zumba, total stretch, and total cardio. Basically we were lean mean exercising machines. Before we left on Saturday, we each had an hour massage. After what we put our bodies through we deserved it. I also got to spend an evening with Uncle Don and Aunt Patti. It was fun seeing them and my visit with them was great. I have such a great family and friends. I ended my time in Utah with my friends Molly, Nic, and Jane. I spent a few days with them in Heber. It was a nice get away.

Christmas Day 2011
I was lucky enough to get night duty, which meant I got to sleep with all the kids and make sure that no one got up in the night. This also meant that I got to get up early when the kids couldn't wait any longer. Brooklyn woke up at 3:30 and I convinced her to stay in bed a little longer. I think we got up around 5. It made for a long Christmas day.

Christmas Eve 2011
We had our traditional Mexican feast on Christmas Eve. Even Perri had her own taste of Mexican...it was her first time eating avocado. Not really sure how much she enjoyed it, but she was cute eating it. Jack and Brooklyn dressed up for our nativity, but they weren't really happy to be doing it. They were so ready to get home and get to bed so that Santa could come.
