Darling doesn't begin to describe this kid
No you are not looking at a professional baby model...it is just Brooklyn! I am posting the two pictures that Brit sent me of Brooklyn. Dang this kid is a doll! I love both pictures, but the bathtub one is so stinkin' cute. I know that Brit sent these to most of the imdediate fam, but for the extended fam that checks out our blog (you know I check out your's too), Joel's baby is so cute. You would all just love her. She is brains and beauty and brawn for that matter! :)

Pictures and Puke...not in that order!
Today has been the day of pictures and puke...
First, puke...boy oh boy the morning sickness reared it's ugly head today and I was sick twice this AM. Kate kept yelling at Clair to get out of the bathroom or she would get the "throw up cold" too. Kate wouldn't come near me all morning. I guess her bout with the flu in Texas was enough throwing up for her. I told her it was because I was preg. but I guess she still thinks she might get the "throw-up cold" again!
Despite my horrible morning, I did have an appointment to get the girls pictures done at the Picture People (free pictures...I'm there!) Anyway, the apt was at 11:40, but I still had to go and get them shoes. So, we left around 10:15 and found the almost perfect shoes...I was hoping for red ones but settled for some darling white ones... at payless. Then I stopped and got a little snack which small remain nameless so mom doesn't worry I am eating the wrong foods. Then we went and got our pictures made. They turned out pretty cute, but the ones I liked best had a green background...not my fav. So, I settled for the green background and the really cute picture...look for your in the mail. Anyway, after pictures we met up with our realtor Ms. Connie for lunch. While we were at lunch, Kate said, "Ms. Connie, when you are looking for a house is it really all about, LOCATION< LOCATION< LOCATION!" She had heard that saying on one of her shows this morning. I thought Ms. Connie was going to fall over laughing. She told Kate is sure was and then also pluged her office saying by telling Kate that "service, service, service" is also important. Kate looked up at me and in a quiet voice said, "What is service." But of course Ms. Connie heard and she laughed. I explained it and then Kate, "And what is location?" She is too funny. Ms. Connie also was asking what the girls wanted the baby to be a boy or girl. Kate said, "It's a boy." Clair said "baby". (She usually says girl or sister, she was playing it safe today!) Then Kate said, "If it is a boy I will be SO happy, but if it is a girl...I will be DANG MAD!" This really got Ms. Connie laughing, because we both expected her to say "But if it is a girl that is ok too." But not Kate. She rarely says the expected.
So, that's our Monday. Puke and pictures...and funny Kate sayings!

RATS and MORE!
Well, the rat count is up...I have now seen 14 rats in the subway of NYC. One day I saw 4...that is a daily record, normally I only see 1 every once in awhile. I would like to tell you how many miles I have walked while in NYC, but I have some sad news for you...I lost my pedometor while in Texas. I now am only keeping track of the number of rats that I see and the amount of change I find on the streets. I am over $3, but I can't tell you an exact amount.
Now for the interesting news...I substituted again today and several of the little boys (who are obviously from the "right" side of the tracks) were so excited that they couldn't work. Why were they excited...because they were going to the SuperBowl next Sunday. Can you believe that people live like that? Well, I have met them and know that they do!

The last one is the first picture of the morning and she just loved her go-cart. She looks darling in her PJ's on it. These are all pictures curtesy of Ros.

Just another brush with fame in NYC
I found my camara cables!
Hello All! As you can see from Em's post with my pictures I found my cables! Mom, I promise the pictures of the girls in there dress up clothes will be posted soon! I can't expect Em to post everything all in one day! Besides, then we will have nothing to look forward to for the next day! Anyway, I also have several cute pictures of Brooklyn, esp. one on her new go-cart Christmas morn! So, keep checking the BLOG...more will come soon!
Speaking of mom...I hope you feel better soon. Also, Brooklyn you have been in our prayers, and we are all so glad you are doing better. Brit, hope you will soon be back to 100%. I also hope that all that flu junk stays in Texas and away from us! Icky! What is this flu...the female only flu. How come dad and Joel didn't get it? (AND please don't say, MENTAL TOUGHNESS!)
Love you all!

POTTY TRAINING UPDATE
On Saturday we started the no pants method. Grandma informed me "That is how the Mesicans do it." Well, the "Mesicans" have something. The first day was a little touch and go, but after that it went better then I thought. By Monday she had no accidents (well, until after dinner and her big reward cake with a candle for having no accidents...after that she peed twice on the floor, but hey, she got her cake.) Anyway, the problem seems to be the transition to panties. We took a day off of the no pants method yesterday so she could play downstairs and be like a normal kid. We started back today and it is going really well. I think I will try a day with panties but no pants (or rubber pants) so if she has an accident it is still obvious. I guess Rome wasn't built in a day and Clair, well, obviously she won't be potty trained in a day...week, or month! I am also running out of ideas of things to do in the kitchen to keep her pre-occupied. Poor kid...she is getting kitchen fever! At least I am not alone...Brooke, Paige, and Chy are all going through these fun times too! (See their family blog for more info!)Love you all!
Call Family Living Nativity
For those of you who blocked this event from your minds, like I did...Ros has it all captured on film and she wanted to post them, but her computer is acting up. Here are the pictures of us all dressed up as the nativity. Ros said that most of the ones of the Wise Men presenting gifts were blury. That is probably from all the laughter as the "Baby Jesus" kept thowing the gifts down. I have to agree with Ros, Clair was the most dedicated WiseMan, since she was the only one who kept picking up the gifts each time the "Baby Jesus " would chuck another one! I know that this night will go down in "Nativity" shame...because only Clair took it seriously!

Hacking up a lung in NYC!
Here is a picture of the piece of lung I hacked up this morning! Ok, not really...but I feel like I have hacked up several large lung chunks over the weekend. Part of my problem could be that I decided (against better judgement) to go ice skating in Central Park on Saturday night. Isn't that one of those "Must Do" activities while in NYC? Well, although it probable is...it probably shouldn't be done when you are recovering from a cold. Needless to say this nagging cough is still a naggin'. How glad I will be for the Spring time and a little warmth. I know that Joel and family are puking, but when you get over that post a picture or two. I miss seeing Prissy Pants! Ros, once potty training is undercontrol...post a picture or two of Clair-bear in her new role as potty-girl! I miss your girls too! Love ya all!

BACK IN THE SADDLE
Well, I am back and ready to go...ok not too ready, but almost. I have ordered my books and registered, so that is the best I can do. I went up to campus and all I have left to do is go up to campus tomorrow and pay the balance of my tuition. That is never fun. Well, let's start blogging again!
LOVE YA ALL!
This is a picture of me...just in case you forgot what I looked like! This is actually from before Christmas, but it is the most recent I have!

How to get a baby brother!
Hello Family!
Well, last night I got to see some of the new books Usborne is offering and they are so cool! I have a whole new wish list of stuff to get! This is such a dangerous job for me! :) Brit, we need to get you hooked up with some new catalogs and set up an e-party for you. Double the free books!
I love the picture of Brooklyn. She is so cute and my girls really miss her. We had a wonderful time over Christmas and we were so lucky to be together! We hope it happens again soon! I am still totally holding out for a girls weekend in NYC...so all you boys out there....make it happen for us...please!
Well, I have to share something with you that Kate told Stephen today. She was snuggling with him and said, "Dad I know how we can get a baby brother. You just need to whisper to mom's belly and then a baby brother will get in there." Too funny! We asked her who told her that and she wouldn't say, which most likely means, she came up with it on her own! Anyway...we'll let you know if that works! :)
