Nora Mill

One of our fun stops on our trip to the north Georgia mountains was the Nora Grist Mill.

The mill still works and we were able to purchase some "pioneer porridge" and stone ground grits! Yummy! Here is the stone they used!

This was a sign above a real old mill stone leaning unused against the building. For all you non-southerners...the War of Northern Aggression is the southern term for the Civil War!
