GOOOOOOOOOOOO TIGERS!
The latest Princeton Review is out and look at where Clemson was listed...
Clemson ranked first in the “happiest students” and “jock schools” categories. The jock schools category reflects popularity of intercollegiate, intramural and Greek sports. Clemson placed second for good town-gown relations with the city, and sixth for best quality of life. Clemson ranked seventh in two categories: for its athletic facilities and the popularity of intercollegiate sports, and eighth in two others: career and job placement services and participation in intramural sports. Clemson also ranked 20th in a category dubbed “School runs like butter,” which gives high marks to the administration.
Good old BYU took first in my favorite category...Stone Cold Sober!
The University of South Carolina is profiled in the book as one of Princeton Review’s 368 best colleges but didn’t appear in any of the “top 20” ranking lists. - Awww too bad! :)

Jessica's Wedding
Visit with Stephen's Cuz and Co.
After you all left to go back to Texas, we got to spend several days with Stephen's cousin. He and his wife and two boys were visiting from Utah to attend Jessica's wedding. The day before the wedding we went on ahead to Columbia and visited the zoo.
Clair Bear checking out the bears!
Can you believe my kids were just a piece of glass away from that huge gorilla?
Clair feeding the giraffe...all the kids got to feed her. She was sweet!
Bowen posing with the monkeys on primate island watching!
Dillard House
Anna Ruby falls
Gem Mining
Before the California gold rush...the blue ridge Mountains in northern Georgia had a huge gold rush. You can still do a little mining today...all be it a little "staged". Here are a few pics from our family gem mining experience. Kate and Clair are still caring around their bag of gems!
Nora Mill
One of our fun stops on our trip to the north Georgia mountains was the Nora Grist Mill.
The mill still works and we were able to purchase some "pioneer porridge" and stone ground grits! Yummy! Here is the stone they used!
This is looking up river from the mill.
This was a sign above a real old mill stone leaning unused against the building. For all you non-southerners...the War of Northern Aggression is the southern term for the Civil War!
Call Family Fun Fest!
Let the fun begin....
We had a full schedule....but not too full to take a quick dip in the pool!
Several days we went down the street and enjoyed the pool...many times we had it all to our selves!
Papa and Bowen...
Joel and Jack...
Kate floatin' away!
Papa & Aunt Em helping our little guppies...
Clair squirting...
Two cousins dryin' off!

Celebrity Sighting...AGAIN!
It's really hard to be me...constantly running into celebrities. It happened when I lived in NYC, it happened when I visited NYC, and now it is happening when I get near NYC. While I was at the Newark, NJ airport waiting for my plane to Richmond, VA a gentleman walked off the plane and he looked familiar. It wasn't that he looked like a freak...it was that I'd seen that freakish look before. I slyly snapped a picture with my Blackberry...so it is a little fuzzy.
Since my picture is so fuzzy...I thought I would show you a better picture from Wikepedia. If you don't already know who this "celebrity" is...it is George Clinton. He is a R&B/Rap/Funk musician. He has sung songs such with the likes of Tu Poc (not sure how to spell that) and many others.
If you want to know how out his music...google him!
